K•BroVet® Chewable Tablets & Oral Solutions
While potassium bromide has long been recognized as an excellent anti-convulsive for the alleviation of canine seizure disorders, K•BroVet® was developed due to a need to provide a consistent and reliable source of potassium bromide for veterinarians and their patients. It’s a product that can be dispensed directly in the clinic in order for the veterinarians to maintain oversight of patient care.
The only potassium bromide manufactured to FDA standards under Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP).
K•BroVet comes in both liver-flavored tablets and butterscotch-vanilla flavored oral solution – making it a flexible option for both large and small dogs. K•BroVet can be used as the sole anticonvulsant for dogs that cannot tolerate anticonvulsants that affect the liver. Some veterinarians also use K•BroVet in conjunction with phenobarbital therapy, based on individual patient responses and needs.
A liver-flavored chewable tablet for dogs containing potassium bromide and a butterscotch-vanilla flavored oral solution for dogs containing potassium bromide.

Q: What size is a K•BroVet tablet?
A: It is approximately the size of a dime.
Q: Can you feed K•BroVet with peanut butter?
A: There have been no tests dosing dogs with Bromides and feeding peanut butter or any other food combinations, as there are too many variables. The key is to monitor the serum bromide levels to keep them in the 1-3 mg/mL range. The dosing and diet need to be balanced to achieve this range.
Q: Can you use K•BroVet with Phenobarbital?
A: Yes. You can use it with or without Phenobarbital. It is up to the veterinarian to make that determination.
Q: Is K•BroVet a prescription?
A: Yes. It is a legend labeled drug as stated on the label.
Q: What is the flavoring?
A: Tablets are artificial chicken liver and drops are artificial butterscotch. There is no sucrose in the drops.
Q: Should the oral solution be refrigerated after opening?
A: No. The product should be kept at room temperature.
